L-glutamine Treatment Available at VA Hospitals for Patients with Short Bowel Syndrome

Emmaus Medical, Inc. (Emmaus), the private pharmaceutical company announced that the company has been awarded a five year contract by the Department of Veterans Affairs for its FDA-approved prescription drug NutreStore® [L-glutamine powder for oral solution], for the treatment of Short Bowel Syndrome (SBS). The contract is effective December 15, 2010 to December 14, 2015.
